Check out this car. I guess the year of the car depends on which side you get in or whether you are looking at the front or back. On top of that it is advertised as an all original 1969 survivor car! That truly makes this car one of a kind. Dodge must have had some extra 68 grills and right fenders they wanted to get rid of!  :smilielol:

That's interesting. I've seen a few cars like that. I saw a '69 R/T clone with '68 fenders on it. Also know of a '68 sitting with I think '69 fenders and a taillight panel if I remember correct. Haven't seen it untarped since around 2001.

I can imagine someone buying that car and then one day someone walks up to the owner and says let me show you something.

472 R/T SE

By the looks of the dash pad & the SE emblems on the pillars', it looks like a '69 with a '68 front fender & grill.  :shruggy:

i never seen one panel of each before. i guess it's a survivor, just not an unscathed survivor. :coolgleamA: who's taking bets that it had a major front end accident?

I first saw this car about 25 years ago. An older woman owned it. It's a real 69 RT/SE. I'd always see her
driving the other way. It's in daily driver condition. It's a neat car. I never got a chance to talk to her, but
I agree that those 68 parts were a fix from a long ago accident. Everybody in the world around here has
tried to buy it from her.

I had A similar situation with my brand new 2001 Mustang Bullitt edition GT. I never noticed it either, after owning the car for about 6 months my son pointed out a factory screw up. The car had 2 different C-pillar covers, a GT on one side and a Bullitt cover (which is slightly different) on the other. Ford had to replace it and Re-paint the entire top portion of the car so these things do happen, probably the old Friday or Monday car syndrome.

im not sure but did dodge make a 68 1/2? :shruggy: i heard some where that they mixed 69 parts with the 68 when the 69 went into production as of some 68 were still at the assembly plant
life's a garden, dig it.

Funny about the red car.

Somebody just whacked the car years ago and fixed it with off-year parts.  I'm surprised the seller actually thinks it's gonna fool anyone.
