Challenger 440 engine code?????

Hi, please someone know:
I have a 1970 Challenger RT 440, was built in 12/23/1969, what´s the correct letter in the engine pad ID E440 or F440 (E means 1969, because the car was built in 1969 and F means 1970, because the car is a 70 Challenger)?

The stamping is for the model year so it should be an 'F'. The casting number on the side of the block should be for a 69 year of manufacture.
