I just stumbled across a '72 GTX as well today....kinda thinking about picking it up even though it is a total project. It is a factory 440, 4-spd car though, verified through the fender tag. Unfortunately the Dana is gone  :'( I'm going to take a closer look at it tomorrow....thing is I have no idea what they are worth in todays market? Seems like the '71-up B-body projects don't bring much these days.

  gts95,if you think it's worth your while,grab it,as I said,219 4spd gtxs wwere made in 72.What were the colors,options,etc?

I'm going to go check it out in a little while, will try and take some pics. It is dark green with black interior, Had a rear spoiler but I did not see the code for it on the fender tag. I remember it was coded for the R36 radio/cassete, N96 Air grabber though. He is asking $3k for it. If it comes with a 18-spline 4-spd I will probably go ahead and pick it up.

I don't think so, infact I think there was also a Roadrunner GTX model for 73-74 also.

Sweet Find!

gts, if you pass on the $3k one you found, please pass along the info! (or kick yourself later...LOL).

After 71, if you got a 440 in your Road Runner, it automatically bcame a RR/GTX, up through 74.

Amazing how much more people like these cars compared to 3rd gen Chargers. (around here, anyway)

71 was the last year the GTX was a separate model.

Nice score!  Would love to find something like that around here.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

I love those cars also and if I had the money I would grab that car also.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
