Frustration... where are my !@#!$# main bearings?!?!

As some of you probably know, I've been muddling along on this 72 Cuda project for a while now. I've put it on the market due to the pending expansion of my family and shifting priorities, but I continue to work in it as I have time, money and motivation.

Anyway, I actually got to feeling pretty good about the project again, so this weekend I figured that I would assemble the short block. Earlier last week I file fit all the rings and assembled the pistons and rods.

Yesterday I gave the block and crank a good scrubbing. I stopped at that point because I realized I needed a rear main seal, so I ordered one which came in today.

Today after bringing the seal home, I figured I'd check the clearances on the crank.

I go to the box where I thought the bearings were, and they are nowhere to be found. What I though were mains were actually the rod bearings. So I turned the garage upside down searching for them to no avail.  :RantExplode:

Honestly, I can't recall ever seeing them. The motor came as part of the package with boxes and boxes of parts, and I never fully inventoried everything. I have a receipt for the bearing though, so I know they were purchased, which just adds to the frustration.

:RantExplode:

So now I'm stuck once again. My car budget for the next couple of weeks is already spent, so if I can't find these damn bearings, it's all going to sit for a couple of pay periods until I can afford to spend another $90 on this mess.  :brickwall:

I really don't need this sh!t.
