Yes - DODGE letters On the Rallye Hood (Which was the standard hood on the R/T) - The Shaker Hood got the triangle emblem.

I guess that means people have them removed for cosmetic reasons, I see that a lot on cars around here. Thanks!

Actually - I believe many Plymouths had a shorter wheelbase than their Dodge sisters. Dodge was the "Higher Class" division and Plymouth was the "Value" division - Dodge wanted the extra size - Like Mercury compare to Ford.

You're correct, but so am I.


If I recall right, with the B-bodies there was a 1-inch shorter wheelbase on the Plymouths than the Dodges.  But it was done with the leaf spring brackets rather than any difference in the unibody itself. 

However the wheelbase difference was structural on the E-bodies.  They literally made the unibody 2" longer in the backseat floor area of the Challengers compared to the Barracudas.

 Interesting that alot of similar cars had the standard 2" difference in length, i forget them all now, but back in the day up intill the early '70s many sister cars had that structual difference.
