GOTWING

Well, I found pics of my old daily driver from High school. It wasn't the prettiest but if you could have seen what it came from. Being a young kid from high school and my first real project it was the greatest... It looked like a real clunker but it sounded and ran wicked. It would turn heads from the exhaust note but got the  :eek2:  look from the visual....

Pretty stout solid lift 350 that was built by a sprint car driver. I remember when the Air Gap manifolds first came out I was chomping at the bit to get one. So I pull my old performer off and headed to the speed shop, pulled the Air Gap out of the box, took one look at it, put it back in the box and said thanks but no thanks. That's when I knew some real work had been done to mine as the intake was pretty heavily ported.

I still have the engine and trans but sadly the car named "Joleen" succumbed to a terrible fate.

Between that 4 door Jeep & the Charger, Chrysler is banking right now.  They can't keep those Jeeps on the car lots'.  My Mom says it's their biggest seller.

Good lookin' rig.  Daughter's friend's parent have a white one.  He lifted it & put some black wheels & tires on it.

Well it was a 2001 Blazer with 300k. Now I am in a 2012 Ford F-150.
You guys that drive imports should be banned.  :patriot:

2011 Challenger Pentastar V6 Super Sport

-Steve

How do you like the v6 so far.

Sorry 69rtse4spd I just saw your post.

Love the V6
I get a average of 21 mpg which is the same that my 150 hp PT cruiser got.
But what my PT didn't get is 32 mpg going down the freeway.

The V6 has only about 30 HP less than my Charger and 40 HP less than my 300C.
The 300C gets around 23-24 on the freeway and my Charger get around 18 mpg.
The Challenger is the definite winner on gas mileage for a daily driver.
The V6 is low on the torque scale compared to both the 300C and my Charger but then again I'm not drag racing people on my way to work. (Wink Wink)

I have had a few minor issues with it but nothing that would make me consider selling it. Definitely more comfortable and better looking than its competitors.

I just wish Chrysler would open up the tuning market so I could get a better tune than what it came with. I think this engine has a lot more to offer.

-Steve

mauve66

you would think that since the V6's outnumber the v8's in the chally, charger, mustang and camaro that they would be turning out tuners and kennebell superchargers for them, think of a modern GN if it had support

Its not just the V6s, Chrysler did it too all of their 2011 and later engines.
And of course they changed the wiring harness so you could not just swapped the computer.

98 Town & Country, 308,000, never had the drive train opened up. Use it more than the pick up. Got a 88 Le Baron convert. also, summer driver.

324,345 miles & still never opened up.

69rtse4spd

Give them time, I am sure they will up the V6, must keep up with the competition.
