TORSION BAR HELP PLEASE ? are 73 rr's different from 72 ?

im removing my K frame and i pulled the torsion bars , who ever installed them last got the sides mixxed up they put the right on the drivers side and the left on the passenger side . so i do not know if they were removed and put in backwards or just switched from the get go they have a good arch to them . so im just going to get new ones .

my question is are the torsion bars a different size from 72-73 ? mine are overall 43 1/2" long end to end .

where is a good place to buy a set from ?

The part numbers, they are considerably different from 72 to 73.
As for the"backwards", back in the day if you couldn't get a right side one you could use a laft one and put it in backwards and it would work fine.

eeehm, not... each side is allways THAT side, not matter the position

think on this:

One hex bolt on crossmember and you tight the nut CW in front... put it backwards, Nut at Crossmember... you still tight the bolt CW.

The other side would it be the same but with CCW thread

Well, maybe works fort some light weight or a regular street car, but if you add some torsion or some extreme driving, mostly sure will worn out quickly or even will break

Well, you're probably right with that Nacho, point taken.  I often wondered if they lasted any longer.
