Today I took my Ariel Atom to the local "Cars and Coffee" car show in Irvine, CA.  As luck would have it, a numbers matching '71 Hemi Charger parked behind me.  :2thumbs:
I spoke to the guy for a little bit, seemed like he was somewhat of a flipper to me (unfortunate).  The car is for sale, though, if anyone is willing to cough up his asking price ($130K...unlikely, despite the awesomeness/rarity of the car).  It was really a treat to see this car, as I'm pretty much building a restomod "clone" of one of these right now...

Here are some pics:

Here's the engine bay...

And the fender tag...

I'm rooting for him to make his mark on that car.  I bet that baby screams  :naughty::drive:

looks just like LAST426s' charger... :2thumbs:

It looks like Last 426's Charger but it's not. It's my old car which I sold about 5 years ago. It's a really nice car, all original body panels and matching #'s trans and engine along with factory Chrysler build sheets and data tag. It drives nice and runs hard too.

There's another one on ebay right now.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

It even looks fast when it's sitting still. I'm a bigger fan of the 2nd gens but this car is second to none.  :yesnod:

Sheldon was very helpful when I was shopping for my car.  I think I have a pic of his in the snow!  Kim

I've seen two similar hemi cars for sale lately. I think this guy was originally asking something ridiculous like $180,000 for the car. I guess he's dropped it down to $130,000. The other car was a bit more inline price wise with an $80K asking price.
