say what you want but I think the fact leno is a big classic car fan is pretty cool and good for the industry as a whole. From what I have seen, the guy is a real fan and not just some spoiled rich guy who buys a bunch of rare cars to store them. He actually drives his cars around and seems to be a big fan of them.

No argument there, but that doesn't make the value of every 75 Grand Fury go up - which seems to be the logic behind the craigslist post.

Just like all the people using Barrett-Jackson results for appraisals.

:iagree:

this wasnt a hit on jay leno, quite the contrary, it was a hit on the moron who thinks his car is worth something just because leno owns one.

I disagree, which is my right.  :icon_smile_blackeye:
75 plymouth 4 doors are popular with the guys who make replica Roscoe (& other DOH) cop cars. How many mid-late 70s dodge/plymouths did 80's 'action' TV wreck? (DOH, KR, A-Team, etc, etc.)

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

price does seem high no doubt... just wanted to share a little support for Jay since I think he is good for muscle cars in general as he really is a big fan.

Ghoste

I think he deserves it too.  He was into them loooooooong before he was famous and has become fortunate enough to indulge his passion.  I meet a lot of wealthy people who collect classic cars and there are so many of them who have little to no idea of the histroy of the car nor how to operate it.  It is garage art where the price tag is the most important feature.  Leno knows auto history and happily participates in the hobby.

... and he likes the weird stuff, but not for the sake of its rarity alone. I think he finds the steam powered stuff more interesting than anything else, but his love goes deep for anything with wheels.

Jay Leno may have personal and sentimental reasons as to why he bought one...He may have owned that car previously....or a family member owned it or one just like it........maybe the one he bought may have been a special order vehicle with something that no other has.....who knows????  But this assclown will not get 10 k for his car.  Now...if it was a sixties fury  or a "Christine"  then  sure!!!  But not this time sonny.
