I'm not in love with Vista but that's another topic, sort of. Anyway, is there a program out there that mimicks the Image Resizer PowerToy for XP? I might add that I want something that's not half virus although that should probably go without saying.

Google it, I saw 4 right on top!  :2thumbs:

Yea, I've already seen several by doing a couple different searches but I prefer to hear from someone I actually know who's used one successfully. I tend to be pretty meticulous about what I download off the internet.

I use Paint.net and IrfanView although good ol' MS Paint and something called Windows Photo Gallery should be installed on Vista as well. Just right click an image and check out the "Open With" option to see what Windows thinks you have available.

I use irfanview for one or two at a time.. www.irfanview.com

If I need to do a whole bunch of images, I use VSO Image Resizer: http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/
Pretty straightforward. About the only thing I don't like about it is that if you want to save the resized photos somewhere else, you have to navigate from the top of your file system every time. I'd like it better if it started you out at the folder you are working in at the moment.
A small point. Other than that, it does a great job and works pretty fast.

I agree, I've been using irfanview for the past couple of years. Very easy to use.

XP's image resizer is very cool. There's a BETA version of this available for Vista, but I don't use it.

If I understand what's being asked here?  I just use my "Paint" option that is on XP and Vista and open the pic,and click Image then stretch/skew.

One thing to note - IrfanView will do batch resizing so if you go to a show and take a few hundred pictures like I do then you can resize them all with just a few clicks.
