Greetings All,

Many years ago, I requested a very comprehensive VIN search of the North Dakota Department of Transportation.  In that search, one Daytona and about a dozen Superbirds showed up.

The Daytona XX29L9B409037 was in the Minot area way back in the 70s or 80s.  If anyone owns this car they may be able to request a wealth of information from ND DOT.

My Superbird was sold new in ND so when I went and asked for a title search they were able to provide me with documentation all the way back to the original Manufacturer's Statement of Origin.  As I was a ND resident, I owned the car and it was registered in ND, the information was free to me.  If you own the above Daytona, I recommend an email or phone call to ND DOT.  You may pick up a few pieces of its documentation.

There have been other Daytonas and Charger 500s in ND over the years.  If you suspect your car was registered in ND at one time it may be worth a call to ND DOT.  You will need to provide proof of ownership of any vehicle you are requesting information on.

There is a big Mopar guy (and ex-racer) in the Minot area - I believe his name is Roger Nesham (spelling?) Someone told me he had a wing or two.

I believe that my C500 XX29LB224393 was sold new in North Dakota actually. Unless the paperwork I have on the car from new is incorrect. Wonder how many other C500's were sold up there.

He may also have the motor out of my ex Hemi 500 F8 4-speed. He told me years ago he was going to check but never did. He bought all the motors, parts etc off the old Chrysler factory drag racer in Minnesota who had that 500...his name escapes me at he moment....

Would that be the HEMI 500 that Carl now has?
