My Uncle does! It used to be my dads.. It has a 318 with tons of old speed goodies and 360 heads, it has wicked low compression but a nearly unlimited top-end.. these pictures really do it too much justice, I had just cleaned it.. the car really needs a new interior, new tranny and some rear quarter work and a paint job.. it was originally pea green with dog dish hubcaps and a bench seat.. now it has Buckets out of a '72 Duster and a Console out of a dart.. it needs work but my uncle just cannot find the cash or time to fix it.. He won't sell it, but his wife has a passion for it and I think she might get him to fix it..
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own. I resign. -Number 6, The Prisoner

Im a huge fan of 67-69 Cuda's! My wifes great-uncle has a 68 (non-fastback) he bought new, its a plain car....slant 6, 3speed on the column, light green metallic with white interior. It has been sitting under his carport for years (tag year is 1977).
I have talked to him about it and he loves talking about it, and seems enthused that Im intrested in it, but wont sell, say he is saving it for his son (who care less about cars).

There's just something I like about it... be a good car to transplant a 340-4speed into.

I had a plum Crazy 67 with a 273.  I bought it for my sons first car.  He came to me after a few months and had made a deal to buy his Grandpas Chevy Corsica for what ever price he could sell the 67.  I was disapointed and sold the 67.  He has never been into cars.  I often wish I had that car back, but I have had many cars I wish I had back!

It was just a nickname they picked up in the 60's.  Sox and Martin had it painted on of their cars (the 66 Barracuda funny car I believe) and even Plymouth picked up on it before they decided to run with the "Cuda" nickname.  There is a radio ad from Plymouth in which the announcer calls it a Baccaruda.

That's funny....for my H.S. graduation (1980), I loaded my two best friends into my fastback Barracuda and did a week-long roadtrip to PEI, specifically to see the drag races at Oyster bed bridge. The three of us slept in the car, two in the back (facing opposite directions) and one on the front bench (specially installed for the trip, pirated out of a '70 Swinger). Had a great time, drove up and down the beach at Cavendish, almost got arrested twice, and did our best Cheesh and Chong imitations the whole week. Yeah, we were seeing "chinese".

I like them too :yesnod: I've found around 4 or so '64-'65 Barracudas sitting. Here's a '70-'71 I've been watching for years now. Everytime I drive by this 'Cuda...more and more stuff is gone. It used to have a taillight panel, it was a '70/'71.  I'm not sure what model of 'Cuda it was ('Cuda, Barracuda Gran Coupe etc). I was heard it was bought just last month by somebody to restore so it makes me wonder if it's a 340 car or something :scratchchin:

I bought this one for the wife a couple of years ago. It got released from customs 7 days before christmas eve and guess what showed up at our christmas eve party after a bit of a clean up. I got some gooooood lovin' for a while after that.  :icon_smile_big:

Hey gang....
I'm doing an inventory of the pieces I'll need to make my Barracuda functional.
One of the more immediate requirements is the little cams that go on either side of the folding rear seat, they disengage the latch on each side as you toggle the seat release lever.
Mine are missing. And I'm having a heck of a time finding these parts.

Any help would be appreciated!
