Foam Dam and Urethane Rear window installation

Well guys I am just posting here to double check all the hooplah on the "foam dam" method of installing the rear window in the beast....       

According to Bill's post - the window installers use a 1/4" round foam dam around the entire perimeter - pinchweld primer on pinchweld and glass - now my only question is to clarify the use of urethane as well -  is the urethane applied to the inside of the foam dam so none squeezes out onto the exterior and any small excess only goes towards the interior edge of the pinchweld ?     

Just checking because I have foam barrier and pinchweld primer on the way...    I figure screw paying someone $125 to install it...     the products cost me around $65 (ended up getting  60 feet of barrier so it cost a little more than normal) and I love being able to do new things.....   so....     

I know the foam blocks are used to set the window height in the opening (keeping it centered) so that is not a big deal....     

So does anyone want to verify where the urethane sealer goes ?

Alex, when the glass guys put in my rear window, the foam strip (adhesive backed), goes on the inner most edge of the pinch weld.
The rubber blocks were set on the pinchweld and the glass laid into place & centered.  They then pumped urethane around the glass.  The dam prevents the urethane from leaking into the car.
They then smoothed out the excess urethane from the pinchweld  (be sure NOT to let it goop too much in the channel where it gets into the clips or you will NOT be able to get the trim on)

another question for the masses - anyone know the dimensions of the blocks that center the window in the opening ?  I assume there is little need for them to be EXACT but I would still like to have and idea of what they should be....

According to the '69 service manual....

Spacers are made from .25 x .40 x 1.0 inch block of rubber & placed 17 inches from center line of window.
