Headlight Vacuum Canister

I have bought and drank a can of Heinz Tomato juice and have coated the can in primer.  This can is to be used as my new headlight vacuum canister on my '69 Charger.  I have disassembled the old rusty one, removed the mounting bracket as well as the valve.  I have trimed the lid from around the valve.

My question:

How do I successfully install the valve into the new can?  Has anyone done this?

I figured I would cut the appropriate hole in the top of the juice can, actually a tiny bit smaller as to ensure a good fit, and then either weld or solder the valve in place?  I am skeptical about welding as the valve has rubber in it and I do not want to damage / melt it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

BTW, the Heniz Tomato juice can is almost the exact size - it is about 1mm taller, which will not pose a problem when attaching the mounting bracket.

Hmmm....very intriguing idea......maybe use some epoxy to hold the valve in?

A friend and I have taken one apart as well and could not come up with a good solution.
It needs to be fixed in the can very firmly and sealed, well the seeled part seems easy
but we could not figure out a way that it would not come loose under pressure or force
or miles of vibration. Yes let us know if you figure out a good way of holding it in there.

I expoxy glued mine and also around the lid, it works great.
