Dumb Mistakes

i was watching "Cannonball 2" on CMT two nights ago and the guy in the Mercedes said it had a "383 Hemi"
anyone else ever hear someone say something like that?

There were a lot of 440 Hemis on the streets back in the day.  I've never actually seen this thing, but just about every guy I talk to used to have one.

Yeah I think that one irritates me the most. Especially when it says 6.6 right there in plain view!! But a woman said that so...... No offense to women in here.

i remember seeing some movie in the 70's that was about an undercover cop or maybe just a regular dirtbag trying to sell guns or drugs out of the trunk of a 71-72 RR and he claimed it had a Hemi 383, in one of the scenes he hung a spotlight from the door when making the "buy" out in the middle of a field or something

Anywhoo, my '06 Charger has the "HEMI" badges on the front fenders. A guy at a gas station asked me, about 2 weeks ago, "is that the 6 or the 8 Cylinder Hemi?". I looked at him and was laughing. He wasn't, he was dead serious.. I said "8" and that was that... :brickwall:

Unless he was an ex-pat Aussie. we had an actual 'Hemi' Six from the factory down here. of course that was nearly 40 years ago.
