I just hope someone checks into them more. They're definitely cars to have. :popcrn:
1968 Dodge Charger 440, EFI, AirRide suspension
1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE 383 magnum
1963 Plymouth Savoy 225 with a 3 on the tree.
2002 Dodge Ram 5.9L 360
2014 Dodge Dart 2.4L

Thanks Finn.

If I go to Van Nuys this week on business, I'll check it out.

I actually drove my charger into downtown LA and Hollywood this weekend to check out a 67 firebird they were auctioning off that was used in the Matrix Reloaded (hwy scene) Very cool driving around LA in an old charger.

Tarantino did say something about keeping a couple of the cars.  Who knows?

But movie car destruction totals are full of errors in general.  Phrases like "purchased for the film" and "used in the film" and "destroyed during shooting"  . . .  that's 3 different things.

Movie crews don't mind buying 15 cars and having 10 of them still left intact when filming ends.  If that's what it's gonna take for them to roll the cameras 12hrs/day, then that's what they'll do.

Nice find, some of the stunt Chargers(3 of them) did show up in Sweden like 2 years ago.
I almost bought one of those, but the seller refused to send me pictures.... 9 grand USD for a car, and he won't take ten pictures of it for me? His loss. Probably lucky the deal never came through. They were all pretty rotted up (except for the "action" car with the 440 and wilwood discs all round, which was smashed up) from what I heard later on.
Proud member of the jack stand racing team since 1999.
'70 Charger 500: "Bronson", some kind of hillbilly hot rod in progress.
'89 Chevy Caprice 9C1: "it's got a cop motor..."

Back in 82 when i made deliveries in the north hollywood, burbank, ca area I found a movie lot where they rebuilt the General lee cars. This looks like that lot but i can't remember what street it was. I think off Roscoe. I actually talked through the fence to one of the guys and he said they put lots of them through that small shop to repair the wreckes.those chargers are probably orange underneith. I also saw the cooter tow truck and some cop cars.

Mike DC

Oh, trust me, those DeathProof cars are definitely not orange underneath.  The fate of the TV GLs is a subject that has been investigated pretty heavily.

if you read mopar collectors guide you woulda read that none of these started life as 1 of those orange disasters.

Howdy!

I Have one .....named: #1 Stunt with 440 Magnum, bought from Hollywood.
It should be the car that Kurt Russel actually drove in the movie. The only one with engine(I have been told)
Its smashed and its gonna remain smashed, but runs like a rocket.
It lives in North of Sweden now.

scatpack69

I wouldn't mind the front Charger. It looks in good shape from the pics.
