well this car is for sale on craigslist in virginia. im not sure what anyone was thinking painting a car like this.

Exactly what I was thinking. The car would look way cool with JUST the ribbon piece on each side.

That's what they did back in the day. You spent the weekend at woodstock and then carried the experience over to the garage when you got back home.  ;D

Back in the day, that paint job really did blend in with other cars. But with time going on those things kinda faded away but now days folks ten to loose creativity (but not like that) and went boring as everything looks the same. That paint job looks to be in the mid 1970's to early 80's at the most.

I think i might have that one beat. I experimented and sprayed part of my car, and maybey didnt put reducer :shruggy: in the clearcoat and i almost didnt drivre it for a real long time, yes it looked that bad. Then i got smart and realized they didnt have clearcoat in 1970 and went with single stage for the underside, and that came out much better. Only problem is the only time anyone can see the good paint job, is if im running them over.
