It's probably just me, but I always hated these things. The absurd wings and nosecones look like something imagined by a 13-year-old boy, manufactured by a team of itinerant panel beaters, and attatched to an otherwise perfectly good car by drunken monkeys.

Yeah, I'm sure it's just me."

Or maybe he's just jealous?

By the way, we STILL have some of those SIA magazines with that article left as part of the cheap-o magazine deal we offered last spring.

The winged cars are a piece of history and to date probably the most outlandish production based cars ever built in terms looks. You might love em', you might hate em', but you'll never be able to ignore them.  :2thumbs:

I can still remember all those that pointed and laughed  :hah: at my Superbird when I took it to car shows back in the late '70s and early '80s.   The very same people in many cases that are now tripping all over themselves trying to buy one today............  :drool5: I wonder who had the last laugh...  :smilielol: because I was able to actually drive the car and enjoy it before it became a big rolling dollar sign....  :Twocents:
