I did a search and didn't find anything very definative about this.  I'm planning on installing a leaf spring relocation kit on my 73 to get the most meat possible under the rear end.  Is there a company that is now making a sway bar to fit a more narrow spring set up on a 73?

mmmmmm you could fit the sway bar ABOVE THE AXLE ( has been down here locally with a guy guy run exhausts below the axle.

Of course would need to mage custom brackets to the axle housing

Simple answer, no.  I was wanting to do the same thing to mine but after some research I'm not sure what you can do for a rear sway bar.  I would say talking to someone who is into building suspension like maybe Firm Feel and see what they say.

If you change to  a 60's-70 van rear you 'll get about 1 1/2" narrower rear. You'll have to get rid of the iso clamp stuff rubbers around the springs and get rid of the iso clamp spring plates and switch to the 72 & 71 spring plates. If you do that you can use a factory type bar. But that means you'll have to find the 71&72 style  sway bar plates (since your old one won't fit) that mount between the rear & the springs.

The question might be is 1 1/2" narrower overall enough room?

i'm not looking for a narrow rear end, I just want to get as much rubber as possible under the rear end without narrowing and tubbing the rear.....I'm planning on using the MP spring relocation kit to move the springs out of the way of the tires.....and from the looks of it I'm going to have to do some special finagleing to get a sway bar in there.  orignally I wanted to go with a 3 link setup which would solve all of these problems, unfortunately that is too far out of my budget range....

Most axle hung bars are narrower than the factory style frame hung bars, but since their arms are longer and mount in line with the sub-frame rails, you may run in to an interference issue if your putting the springs in the frmae rails.

Another option is to use a drag racing style bar that has a straight splined bar with different link arms like this. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CEE-2020/
