I have an unusually large section of leadwork on the rear quarter..May have been a factory repair on the line?? Anyway, It has some waves and pits,  My question is I know you are not to sand lead but a rasp will just make it rough..any suggestions on smoothing?

ya dont mess with lead work if you don't have to. modern fillers are alot better than they were back then.

Thanks..I was afraid I would make it worse. So I have left it alone and working fillers in to see if I can smooth it out. Where the lead is across the body line is pretty flat. trying to bring this back up to body line is tough and time consuming,,, :brickwall:
