8 3/4 rearend

  hey guys can u tell me what rearend will work for a 74 roadrunner. I  was told that only 71-74 rearends will work on a 74 runner with 8 3/4. I'm looking for a rear end but every one has 68-70. Will these work or not? the 71-74 8 3/4 inch rear setups are different from the earlier ones....save a lot of headaches and effort, get one of those...i assume you are running a 318 0r 360....or 400 2V....if you go to a 8 3/4 inch setup, you will need driveshaft work, also..

9 1/4 is a good rear end that replaced the 8 3/4 and I know you can get a sure grip if it does not already have. I have a 8 3/4 with 2.76 out of my 71 parts car but think you may need to make some adjustments to work on 74.
