rhoads lifters

hey guys any body had any problems with these lifters?? i  have a pal who runs these in  a 340 demon and they seem to make an awful clattering noise,motor was just rebuilt by me  :D and the lifters and cam were the only things we did not change  :shruggy:
I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

Rhoads lifters are noisy by nature, that's how they vary the duration, by pumping down at low rpm's.

I also think they were designed for high lift cams in low compression engines.

 :2thumbs: cheers guys,just seems like one ticking-well like a knocking noise really,definetly sounds like valve train :shruggy: can one lifter go bad??
