I was at a cruise last friday night and this guy runs up to me and my wife just freaking out about the car . He says his wife is having a small 15 car private show at a retirement village ( resort more like it ) . He wants me to bring the birdible out the next day . So saturday morning I run the car over to check it out.  My car was one of the newest there most were 20 years olders but it was a fun show.  This was an invitation only show and they has live band , fully catered buffet and a frozen custard sundue bar.

thanks a lot i love those old cars. my folks generation for sure.  hey theres a guy here in town with a 59 fairlane retractible, he wants to get rid of it . parked it 25 yeats ago and it still sits.

No I will not be able to attend the Mopar Nationals. I Unfortunately am in the car business and it is a 6 day a week job open to close everyday. I only get to visit local shows at the parks and small towns on Sundays. At least I get to attend the James Deans Event in Indiana since I live near by and go to Auburn sometimes. But what a kind offer Thank You very much. If I ever come across your car I will Introduce myself. Thanks again.

Huh, I thought they would have more handicap spots than that....... :scratchchin:

I bet that was a lot of fun.  Quite a few years ago the local car club I belonged to took our old cars and went to a nursing home in Mineola Texas. We took a lot of the people there for rides around the town and I think I had as much fun doing that as the old people going for rides. I had a 1950 Mercury at the time and many people would come up and say how they had had a car like it or they remembered seeing them running around town.
