Okay, so I wanted to know if anyone has flat black or matte black rims on their Charger. I love the Mr. Angrier rims but they are alittle costly for me...but thats the direction I want to go. Any suggestions????? Thanks guys.

Sublime/Sixpack

Have you considered the Mopar 15"X7" cop rims from the early-mid '80's police cars?

I prolly won't find a decent set of slotted mags for a fair price so I might well go with the
US Wheel Daytona type sold by Summit Racing:

You want to do a search on the General Discussion section on 'black wheels' and see what threats come up.
Did that before to see Chargers with black wheels.

Good luck

I'm using the US Wheels suggested by CB on the race car, and while heavy, they balanced out real well even on the large 16x8 size. The welding and finish is very good quality. A very good wheel for the price in my view.

Bassett, Diamond, Aero, Speedway, Weld. There are a few other that slip my mind right now.

Nope, none of those wheels, at least any I have ever seen, have the nubbins for the cop car caps. You'll have to do like me and go old school with cop car rims. I had my rears widened to 15x10. i think you can buy them pre widened from wheel vintques. or however you spell their name.

I have seen those advertised in summit.  They are a very inexpensive wheel. glad to hear you are happy with the quality.  i'd grab a set in a minute if I didn't already have TQ 2's

Hey what are the specs on those rims and tires I love them...theyre actually exactly what im looking for!!!
Oh i was refering to the all black 69.
Thanks Johann

oldrock

if you want to go old school and keep cost down, my son got these 15x8 wheels at discount tire for around 50 bucks each. Mounted up some TA radials and works good for street use on a budget.

closeup with the orignal gold finish

here is a shot of the wheels with new paint. Paint isn't great but my son is 16 and was his first paint job ever.

You can get these wheels just about anywhere. They're usually called "D" Windows by brands like Crager Classic and Unique and you can get them at Discount Tire or Tire Factory for pretty cheap; like $60 each which is $80 cheaper than Summit. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findWheelsBySize.do?rcz=97024&rc=ORPINT&wd=15&bp=5-114.3*5-4.5*5-4.5%2F5&rw=8

But then I'd rather get those Basset wheels 0X01B8 is showing up above for about the same price. :2thumbs:

Why do you need 10" rims? Are you going wider than 295?

Texas Charger

Here is my Charger, it has 15x7 steel slotted rims off of a late 70's/early 80's dodge pickup that I sandblasted and painted black.

Thanks Bull.

Two things about the Bassets, if anybody gets them:

1- They're lug centric not hub centric so you'll have trouble finding somebody who can balance them.
2- They require a different style lug nut.  Bassett sells them, so NBD, except they don't make them in left hand thread.

Lug centric balancing is fairly common with reproduction wheels so while they might balance at the hub they're probably still going to vibrate once installed. I think that's why people have problems with aftermarket ralleys or Magnums. Gotta read that fine print.
