We brought our 1967 Firebird to the Dream Cruise, I must say, this was a combination of the bst and worst car event I have ever attended. The Good parts were all the cars and the vendors along with the food, but my favorite part was getting to meet the owners of these machines! The downside was the cruise itself.. I was more like a traffic jam. I had heard on the radio that the classics were supposed to cruise in two lanes while the grocery getter Honda's and Caravans used other rows.. this, however, did not happen and it was a nightmare! Cars were stalling and the police were useless!! Another thing I did not like was the fact that the traffic lights were still in operation, you would only travel like 2 or 3 feet and then stop, that was almost the entire cruise, or at least the part we could cruise.. I wish the event could have been more organized.. Another thing though, last night, why the hell did the cops shut down Woodward? I mean, I understand they wanted it over by then but we couldn't find our way anywhere.. I wish they could have shoved those lights and cones up their asses where they belonged..

On a side note, the Firebird was running flawlessly, but we have run into one issue.. I think we may have blown one of the bags in the air shocks or we may have cracked a leafspring.. I just am not sure, but there is a creaking coming from the aft end of the car.. wee think it also could be some sort of clip holding the wheels or something like that, because the wheels have so much wiffle room mounted on the axle that we are scared silly to drive it.. I took everything out of the trunk and that still didn't help... I know one thing for sure, when we get home we will be doing a multileaf spring swap ad we will probably change the front brakes, install an eletric fan and tie the subframes together, the car just twists and creaks too much ever since the engine rebuild and axle swap.. Gotta love Pontiac Torque!!

Sorry I missed you out there.....but it was easy to miss you with 40,000 other classic cars. :smilielol:

Hey, did you happen to get over to Bo's (bmoparmofo) Irish pub "The Blarney Stone" for lunch?

Here's some of us gathering in the morning before the crowds got heavy.

Btw, that's WINGR's C500.
