I need to overhaul my calipers, and having looked around i found that SSBC listed the overhaul kit and the pads.

Easy i though, i'll just order them!

No such luck. After they ignored my e-mails i called them today, to be told we dont do them sir, you must have an old catalogue. The catalogue is on their website right now, but they refused to believe me and told me they couldn't help me!

So, where to get them? I cant really send them to be overhauled as im in UK.

Any ideas?

Well, manged to find some on ebay from "brakepartsunlimited".

So that problem solved. Now just got to split the calipers and remove the pistons. Sadly all the pistons are stuck and i cant undo the bolts that secure the 2 halves together!

If you do manage to split the caliper halves and remove the pistons, don't be surprised if the piston bores are pitted beyond use and need to be sleeved.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

After originally failing to be able to undo the bolts that secure the 2 halves together, i dropped them in some oxalic acid for a couple of days.

Pulled them out today and , result, the bolts came undone. got the pistons out and the bores are quite good. I think with a hone we will be all good.

What i did find though, is that one caliper had springs behind the pistons and the other didn't! Might explain why it would always dive to one side under inital braking  ::)

this presents a new problem. Where to get new springs?
