Seems like the OEMs could take a lesson from this, though.  Their electrics/electronics have gotten too complex and they know it.

There is a display at the Chrysler museum showing the amount of wiring in a modern car compared to an older one.  It's amazing to see how much there really is.

Yeah, it's absolutely obscene these days. 


Even on cars 10-15 years old, the primary dashboard-area clump of wires can already sometimes be thicker than my wrist.   They've only gotten worse since.

Yeah it's getting bad nowaday's. electrical bugs in modern cars are a pain in the butt.....
They even become a victim of their own complexity.....
