Door panel chrome turning colors

I was sitting in the Charger the other day, and I noticed that the rear sections of the arrow chrome is turning colors on both sides, the front section is chrome but the rears look almost like a brass or a bronze color, it is very noticeable because the front c piece looks nice but where it meets the back section its like night and day difference, I haven't been in the car for a few months because I tore apart the carb and have been ignoring putting it back together, has anyone else seen this, and what can be done short of re-chroming them, thanks.
