I have a 70 modified resoration project that I am almost finished with.  I am looking for a steering wheel that is black and thicker than the original woodgrain one.  Please post any pictures you have of the steering wheel installed to help me visualize the end result.

I have heard many recommend the Grant of Tuff products.

Thanks for your help.

When I was at the Good Guys Street Rod show in Rhinebeck, NY, I saw this one vendor that had a nice selection of aftermarket steering wheels that looked great. They were reasonable in price, & there were a few that wouldn't look out of place on a muscle car, as opposed to being a wild custom in a street rod. If I recall, the prices started under $200 & went up from there.

One nice thing the guy at the vendor's booth told me was that even though they make the wheels, they are compatible with the Grant wheel adaptors so mounting them is easy.

I know you said no woodgrain, but they have a Birdseye Maple wheel that looks really nice. The padded one is simple, but is only pictured in red on their site.
