My 1970 RT SE with 71,000 original miles.

Paid $2,500 for it in 1981 and have made only a couple of minor changes to it since then.  The sad thing is a couple of months later I had the chance to buy another one exactly like it for the same money and I turned it down.     :-[

Where are you located? There is a guy here locally that had one here just like that. (NC) Btw...Nice car!!

Hey HazzardJohn, yeah that's my car at Dukesfest. Nice pics btw, I saved them. The painted front bumper wasn't my idea. When I was contemplating a General Lee, my freind Pete, aka "Chargervert", suggested I paint the front bumper rather than spend a small fortune re-skinning the front end. He has a 69 front clip I may still buy from him for future use though, but for now the painted bumper seems to do the trick. I don't think I would have done a 70 as a General with a chrome bumper; I don't really care for the look. I think I converted another 70 Charger guy to the painted bumper idea that weekend. Are you going to Dukesfest next year? Supposed to be in Nashville.
Im doing a death proof replica type car and it will have the front bumper painted to match the body color. It looks great on your car! Id keep the 1970 clip on there. Because with a 1969 clip on there it will look like everyone else's! Nice car!

Hello from snowy Russia!
Here is my treasure as it was found in small town, about 100 miles from Moscow. It seems to be the only 2 gen Charger in Russia :2thumbs: An overall condition is not so bad, regarding the 39 year age. In fact, the Charger "lives" in Russia (USSR) from 1980! Now I'm collecting parts for total restoration.
:2thumbs:

What engine does it have in it? That is nice shape. How many miles are on it? I like the silver and green interiour. I never seen that combination before.

No kidding, that sounds like there just has to be an incredible story behind it.  Something you'd see on one of those automotive "reality" shows or something.  Send in Dennis Gage.

Here is pic of my '68, still looking for info on "Lease Car" on my brodcast sheet,   Thanks, Rich

Okay, guys, here is a short facts:
This Charger was sold new in Paris, France, the first owner was female yachting specialist), she use it for yacht towing (!). (Charger has a towing mechanism at the back). In 1980 she sold a car and Charger goes to Russia. The local owner repainted it silver and drove it for fun until his death in 1994. Since then a car was sitting in a garage till I'm luckily found and bought it.
The specs are:
383 2 barrel engine
Bendix power disc brakes
Power windows
3.23 Sure Grip
Y4 Gold Metallic (originally)
and so on...
I even found a build sheet under the front seat! It says that Charger was built for "export specification"; the car has "KPH" speedometer ::)

P.S. Feel free to ask about car)
P.P.S. Who is Dennis Gage? Any links?

I wonder what it would be like to try to find one of those speedos today.

Ghoste

Dennis Gage hosts a show in North America called "My Classic Car".  There are a few programs similar to his but that was the first one that popped into my headf as I was typing.

You're absolutely right - id plate says "Societe des Automobiles Simca" ::)
Condition is good only at first sight, - virtually all the mechanicals are need to be repair or replaced. The car came without right front caliper, window regulator (lost), although the body is quite good (but not straght) and the car is almost complete and original :2thumbs: (In soviet years many rare cars owners often swaps original parts for russian or other cheap analogs) :icon_smile_angry:.
Photos speak for themselves: rust behind the door; the engine rebuilding

P.S. You know, all the parts needed are coming from US, it's a little bit expensive and takes time. The restoration just began...

Those KPH speedo's are not to easy to find.I came across two in the last 25 years.Passed on the first one ,but was a little smarter and bought the second one.
A little trivia about them, the odometer wheel rotates the opposite direction of an MPH unit.
