Example: This is my '68 the day I bought it. It was driven to my house for delivery. Yes it needed some mechanical work to make it a safe driving vehicle, BUT I didn't do that. Instead I started to tear into it and didn't get to enjoy my Charger right off the bat.

Agreed drive em first,However this car was purchased back in 1995 then as many in our world of passionate mopar enthusiasts we hold on to them for that some day I will bring it back to its former glory,then life happens.
Fast Forward 22 years(I know  :shruggy:) and after 3 garage storage areas,that time came on 10/17.

All are R/T's

The red one is an automatic with 38,500 miles. Mostly all original paint, everything else is original.
The green one is an automatic with a/c; 59,000 miles, restored.
The bronze one is a 4-speed with 91,000 miles. 1/2 original paint.

Here's my '68 project.  It started out as a 318 3 on the tree car.  It spent most of its life in Missouri, Kansas and Colorado.  20 years ago, this would have been nothing but a parts car.  But Chargers are getting very hard to find and expensive these days so I thought it was worth the time and effort to bring it back.  I bought it in 2016 for $3,000.  The first picture is how I found the car.  It was in a pretty bad way.  It needed the driver's side quarter replaced, which I did myself.  The rest of the car was really solid.  The frame rails, floor board and trunk pan were all in good shape.  I was able to find a few of the sheet metal pieces locally that it needed.  I couldn't afford a true 440 4 speed R/T so I cloned this into one.  The engine is a .040 440 with six pack pistons, cam and stock heads that I rebuilt.  It runs and sounds how a 440 should.  The 4 speed is out of a '69 road runner.  The rear is a 3:90 8 3/4 sure grip.  The car isn't perfect and does still need some work.  However, it is a good running and driving Charger that I don't have a lot of money tied up in.

Wow quick work,I'm glad to see it as a car rather then for parts.besides I like the fact that you can do what you choose rather then being limited with a #'s matching. :yesnod:
