My 1970 before it went in for bodywork and paint.  Was, and will be again, black with gator roof.

Awesome. What have you done to the suspension to get it to sit like that? I really dig that stance.

Thank you.

Lowered the front a bit using the torsion bars. It has new shocks all around and new leafs.  The new leafs made the rear sit too high so I put in 1.5" lowering blocks.  I forget what size tires, but the rears are bigger.

This was before the lowering blocks were put in...

rikubot

Thanks a million for the info. What shocks did you go with? Does it drive much differently lowered?

Nostalgia drags recently, could only manage 12.8s in the heat on street tyres and was down on mph. Has run a best of 12.5 @110mph on drag radials.

My brother and I went to a car show, both won trophies, took some photos on Rt 66."

Cool shot on the 66 Bridge you have there.  Also on 66 back on a less traveled section and not as glamorous of a structure... but interesting section.

Howdy!

This is my ALL NUMBERS MATCHING 1969 CHARGER R/T 440 4-Speed Track Pak car.

The pic is my Charger getting delivered from Arkansas to Lockport, Manitoba, Canada.

It is R6 Red top & Bottom (no vinyl roof) with a White R/T Stripe and Black Console with buckets Interior.

It is all original and unmolested. Just needs time and money to give it the restoration it deserves.

Great site guys... keep up the good work!

On the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC. Not a General Lee but a replica of Cale's white Charger on an episode.

Does it have a "turbocharger" like Cale's Charger had? Haha

I recently inherited this fine machine from my step-dad.  The first time I saw it was in 1969 when some dude came to our house to take my mom out on a date.  I thought, "who is this bozo?" Then thought..."but holy smokes look at that car!"  It was stored in his garage and hasn't run since 1983.  After 46 years of marriage my mom and step dad both passed this last year.  I've got a couple knowledgeable guys at work that are helping me create a check-list of things to do before I start it up.  It is a 383 2 barrel with automatic shifter on the steering column.  I'm very glad this site exists.  Thanks all....

Smoke em if ya got em

I'm sorry to hear about your parents, rodneyramjet. Funny story about the bozo and his car though.
