Got a couple of shots from my wedding back in September as we were driving to the reception. These were caught on a whim, but they turned out pretty cool.

I spent 2.5 months thrashing day and night to finish this "quick and easy" respray before the big wedding day. The paint was 3 weeks old in these pics and could use a cut and buff, but I don't care. I just want to drive it now.

Anyone know how the hell to post a pic on this site. Pictures taken from my phone are at least 700mb. Anything over 200mb gets bounced back.

richard parker

best thing to do is download a photo resizing app and compress the picture size to small

Dino

This one works well: http://webresizer.com/resizer/

Choose file>upload image>set image width to 800 or 1024 and click apply changes to see what size it is. Download once you get it below 200Kb. 1024 usually gets it well below 200Kb for me.

200kB is the limit. It's fairly easy to hit that mark with a 1024x768 resolution. If yours are 700MB that's about wall sized.

My new phone has a 17 megapixel camera. It makes pictures almost 25 times larger than what is even visible on a 15" monitor (and people view them on a 3" phone screen). It's no wonder everyone needs high speed internet! ;)

There are countless threads on picture resizing in the help section. Some day, I will add a resizer to the site - but I still won't let you upload a 700MB file!

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Well if you're doing it from a P/C it's called Micro Soft Paint. This program is pre-loaded from the factory on just about any P/C that runs using Micro Soft Windows. Right click on the image file that you want to downsize and select "open with" and then after that select "paint" from the drop down menu. In paint you will see an option on the upper header that says "resize" on that prompt you will see resize by percentage or by pixels. I use the percentage. It always starts you at 100% for both vertical and horizontal. To make a correct resize you must chose the same % number in both vertical & horizontal. So enter a number below 100 to down size.

Before you attempt to post your pic on DC.com you can check your pic to see if it's under the 200kb allowance by right clicking on the pic file, then select "properties" and it will show you the size data. If you're still over 200kb, repeat the resizing steps again until you get it under 200kb.

What I do is usually keep the original size of my pics taken, then copy them to a different folder for editing. It's not necessary but it's what I do.

But if doing it from a phone well that's not my cup of tea.
