Thanks for the reminder   But, where I'm at, salt is seldom used.  We are lucky if we get snow 3 times per winter.    Besides that, my town doesn't buy that much salt.  Getting roads plowed is not even on the agenda.  The city square and around the schools is all that gets plowed.  State does the highways which accounts for 3 of the main roads.  Besides, our roads are crap anyway.  City council would rather buy banners at $200 a pop for every light post in town.   The only roads that get fixed are the ones that get used the most.
