MichaelB_69RT, not only do you have awesome taste in color, wheels & car but that's a hell of great name as well.   :2thumbs:

I think I remember seeing you post before but welcome to the Forum regardless.

May I ask your wheel sizes, backspacing & tire sizes?  Is that Cal Tracs I see too?

HOLY CRAP. That '69 is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I love everything about it! As TUFCAT stated, that's the exact same colour I want to paint my Duster.

Was finally getting around to some posts; here is a test shot.
Not as nice as where this thread was going.... ;)

that color is stunning

Yeah its is!!!  What color is that? Looks like the color Cody wants to paint on his Duster.

Thanks for the positve comments men.
The color is a stock PPG paint: Tapestry Red Pearl.   I was waffling between deep maroon or burgandy, and picked this one after a lot of thought. I lucked out.....

Thanks for the paint info! That's a huge help for when I get my car painted. Any other pictures of the car?

Mike,

Thanks for the welcome. I posted once some time ago. Just have been to busy with life stuff.. ::)
On the questions,

Yes: those are CalTracs you spy. Since I didn't want SS springs to give me a truck like ride, yet needed to keep a Dana 3.7x  in place with 600ft lbs of torque from a Muscle Motors stroker, I thought Cal Tracs and a pair of Eaton Detroit custom springs were the way to go. I have some testing todo this season before I endorse this route. It seemed sound at the time.

During metal work I had to have the trunk replaced, so the wheel wells have 3" mini-tubs giving me more room (spring moved in to frame rails.

Don't have memory / or notes: for exact dimensions, let me know if you want precise. Pretty sure it was:
Front 17x8   offset is just 4" (in the middle) w/ p245/45R    works w/ AlterKtion
Rear  18x10 offset was 6.5"  w/ 305/45R  Nitto NT555R

American Racing Wheels were special order.

Did you intentionally put a 68 grill on your 69, or was just that what you ended up with?

Just curious.

66monaco

no, the previous owner installed '68 grille 'cause he though it looked better, and I think so too  :coolgleamA:
