Thanks everyone. This is my 3rd charger. my first was a 70 500 n code w/ factory gator top, hood pins, burnt orange int, and exterior, slap stick with air, ( i have the build sheet, i do not know if someone on here has this car). my second was a 68 sunfire g code, slap stick with air. now, my current charger i am keeping. so far i have rebuilt the front end, new steering gear box, torsion bars. i have an nos front bumper not installed yet, nos fuel filler cap. i just installed a restored gauge cluster done by lilwendal, (very nice). new forward lamp, engine, wiper, and just installed dash harness. i bought a near new steering wheel with most of the woodgrain still on it, but is bent, prolly involved in an accident. i am finishing up with all new console, plates, ect. but i have to replace the inner seat hinge covers b4 the console goes in. im still on the dash, waiting on a-piller covers. received kick panels from year one, but they are waaaaay off, very incorrect, so they are being returned. i just got the car 5 months ago off ebay, $29k but well worth it, i love the sunfire color on mopars, and the 4 spd makes it fun to drive. i found an awesome dealer installed air evaporator off a 66 cornet with awesome chrome, itll be a while b4 the install on that, i have to try and see how to make it look like it was installed in a manner the way they did in the 60s.

Hello everyone. My name is Jeffery. I've been a "lurker" on you're site for a VERY long time, and now I think it's to join. I have a long history with all things mopar from my fathers pale yellow '68 Charger and my mom's gold '73 to mine and my wife's current vehicles. (Mine a blue '06 dak. Hers a blue '02 liberty (that count? ha!)). Enclosed are pictures of my Chargers. Big Red started life as a red 318 one of a million (don't know the exact number) auto Chargers. He now has a mild build 440,4:11 sure grip 8-3/4 and a few other things to numerous to mention. The yellow banana started life as a, well I'm gonna say '69 318 (again one of a million, don't know the exact number). Unfortunately, yellow banana has met an untimely demise last summer by way of a 90' cotton wood tree. I look forward to communicating and interacting with all of you. Bull, Troy, and some of you others, wow, I feel as though I already know many of you, but you guy's don't know me at all. You guy's really don't know how much time I've spent reading you're posts, comments, jokes, advice, looking at you're pictures of you're cars, projects, car shows, EVERYTHING! I feel it is an honor to be a part of this board and only hope that I can contribute as much to it, (and all of you) as this board (and all of you!) has contributed to my life. Thank you.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Welcome to the site Jeff.  Really sucks about the 69 man, is the story to painful to retell?  (I'm guessing it was weather related)

Nice cars, sorry abou the 69'. Welcome to the board!

Heck with the way AMD is making panels id say that thing is sill salvegable. Or (yea most of you guys are gonna cringe) but its a good candidate for a charger convert.

Nice lookin' '68 clanton.

You think maybe you could email a copy of the broadcast sheet for the '70 into the '70 Charger Registry that way it may be reunited with it's rightful owner?

Welcome to the Forum.

mikepmcs

or you could just send the broadcast sheet to Chris Germain and he'll take good care of it for you.  I did just that when I found the sheet for my first car which was a 70'

What a shame! What did you do with it?
My wife and I went to dinner with her parents on our 10th wedding anniversary. While we were eating dinner we could see these massive storm clouds comming in. As we rushed across the parking lot the wind was really whipping up and it started to hail. My father in-law drove us back to their home where my wife's jeep was. Just as quickly and fiercly as the storm came up...it just died! The winds calmed back down, the hail stopped, hell, I don't think it actually rained a drop! We got in the Jeep and headed home (about a 5min. trip). As we were coming down the road (the damn sun was shining now) I could see what appeared to be waay to much sun shining in our back yard, looked odd, different some how but I couldn't put my finger on it. As we got closer to home I could see that the tree must've fallen but, I could'nt see where (or on what) till we pulled up the drive. The 90' (roughly) cotton wood tree had fallen dead in the WRONG direction. Flattened the Charger and our pop-up camper. Insurance company paid for tree cut up (we kept the wood) and gave us a thou for our camper. NOTHING for the damage to the Charger shell. It is an uninsured automobile. Storm damage to our home or property is covererd but basically if it has wheels its supposed to have its own insurance or, its not covered. The yellow banana is now a parts car for big red and the tree will be next years fire wood. This is how we saw it as we came up the drive. The tree hit my truck and caused minimal damage to the hood. Crushed our pop-up camper, caved in the roof, smashed rear glass and crushed both rear qtrs. Damaged both doors as well. Yup, its all under that Tree.
