Hi all. Wanted to introduce myself in the corner of this site where I have been spending most time on my new mopar. Just rebuilt the carb to factory specs, timed to factory, and transmission set properly. Thing was a dog when I got it. BUT the whole drivetrain was rebuilt 9 years ago - but only 1000 miles ago. Now it performs. Shifts are hard. Runs well with "enough" power for a 383 w/ cam.

My Dad bought the car about 6 years ago but really didn't touch it as far as tweaking it like I have. He had cancer and passed away two years ago. I got the car and brought it out of storage this summer.

Never any rust, one repaint in 43 years, numbers matching, mostly unmolested. I am a stock-type guy when it comes to looks but if the perf mods are period correct and proper I am all for it. I will never enter this is a car show, but would rather have a very strong and reliable runner (well i guess I would make a new car out of it) that I will drive as much as I can and give it to my daughter when I can't drive anymore. My son will need the 1971 Charger I want to create for a daily driver as this will be the musclecar I see for myself.

Well, I will try to frequent the forum as much as I can but my two little ones are good at taking up most of my free time.

Thanks guys. I need to get some more recent pictures with it cleaned up better. Still working out some bugs... I think I can guess why the car went through 3 owners in 5 years. They didn't realize you need to be mechanically or financially inclined to own one of these classics.

Huge cruise in town this weekend - Super Run. The first time I will have really had it out. There will be 1000+ cars out and the police have a pretty lienient policy. There will be head to head stoplight drags between 800-1000 hp tube framers from what I hear.
