4 speed neutral safety switch

were factory 4 speed cars equipped with neutral safety switches?

Not in the 60's or 70's...the little "K" car Chargers had them in the 80's

ok, good, i didnt think so but i wanted to be sure before i hit the  track and fail tech.

The standard shift cars didn't have Neutral Safety Switches but '70 and later did have a clutch switch that prevents starter operation unless the clutch pedal is depressed.
