Actually I don't think I have...... We usually use Sikkens,but We used PPG for many years and one of their products I have always loved is DCC concept single stage Acrylic urethane with clear over it. You end up with really nice depth almost like lacquer ,but a durable finish. So, That's what I used.

I actually have 2 sets of wheels for it....15" magnums with repop Poly glass GoodYear g60's and also a set of white steelies with A12 style red stripes g70's.

I love how you can see the spotwelds from your spotwelder.  It makes it look all original.

Did you use organosol for the taillight panel, or your own custom mix? Same stuff on the core support?

I just did the rough sealer trick then flat black spray bomb on the tail panel,and just spray bomb on the radiator support.

Its the one that the "c" Chanell slips through.

Here's the battery seal location, plus a shot of the C frame seal,...I believe the lower hole in front is the one in question?....

I've asked this before.  I can't remember if it was answered or I just can't remember.

Was the rad. support piece blacked out up on the very top vertical piece too?  It seems it's only been Daytonas' that I've seen like that.  I'll remember this time, damn memory...







For some reason the saved pic I have says "Superbird with original paint"  Was it only Superbirds that didn't get black out?

I actually asked around some about the black out and the responses I got were  that Daytonas were very hit and miss on how some stuff got done. So, I just decided to do it how I wanted it. I even blacked out the center portion of the Valance so when you look in thru the (enven though its a very small) grille all thats back there is darkness.

My initial question was just that, asking whether it got the black out.  But I didn't want to make it sound like I was insulting your work.  So I looked through my rad. black out pix & seen Geno's & another f8 green survivor car that had the black out so I edited my post.  I think f8 is one of the colors that the factory stipulated didn't need the black out but some still slipped through.

But I did find the Superbird pic so that must have been where I was confused.

Updated progress from today..... Got the Dana in....Got the MSD hidden and wired......and then a few other odds and ends. Oh and some preperations to the Hemi also.
