Im a hobbiest not a pro bodyman, mudwork was my LEAST favorite part....took me alot longer than a week, I was absolutely thrilled when I had my car in poly-surface. I know you gotta be thrilled too!

Brian, how did you get the welds where the top of the rear valance meets the back lower section of the taillight panel to look so much like factory pinch welds rather than ground down plug welds?  Ted

I am lucky enough to own a spot welder. It works very well for stuff like that,and Trunk floors etc. I did plug weld everything thats hidden though ,just for extra strength.

Dad and I went down and bolted the parts back on today. Im very happy with the fit and how the bodywork looks. Now I just need to get it blocked out and into finish primer.

My buddy Tom's been through about 300 or so cars in his lifetime.  He buys them, puts some $$ into them & sells them.  Some times he makes out, some times he gets raped.  It's more of a hobby for him.

He said the '70 Coronet R/T that he bought at BJ that you did for your Dad had some of the best gaps in any car he's ever owned.  To me, that alone tells me this car will be stunning.

Im just block sanding my life away.....Finish coat primer tommorow hopefully. It and I wont be at Carlisle this year though that I can tell ya for sure.
