I finally tore the vinyl off after noticing some lumps and bumps, after striping the dried up glue and sanding the surface rust I notice two small pin holes so I had a friend mig weld the holes. Thanks S.S.

Really great :2thumbs: I'm preparing my vinyltop installation but seems to have some issues with the moldings, maybe because my car didn't have
a v-t before? Do you have a pic of how the vinyltop molding meets the rearwindow trim?

Thanks//Per

Per,

I recently removed my vinyl top too in preparation for a new one. Its my understanding, based on threads here and speaking with others, all of the trim on V-T cars is slightly wider to accomodate fitting a layer of vinyl underneath. The reasoning behind this is to keep wind from lifting the vinyl and rain from blowing under it.

That's right Tom, the vinyl trim is slightly wider to com pinsate the vinyl some guys just pinch the trim if they are not replacing the vinyl back on.
Cheers to all.
