So i cant seem to get the hood on my 74 charger to line up. I messed with it for like an hour and got it close but it still sits up way to high in the back. Ive head or guys have this problem before.

solutions anyone?

lisiecki1

my 73 did that all the time, the only solution that always worked was just pushing the back of the hood down after i closed it.

Your springs may not have the recoil they used to have or you may have to adjust the hood hinges down a bit. Make sure your rubber stops are good.

hinges need to be rebuilt...

you`ll find on riveted braces once completely open the hood you are still able to push it up, and will find LOT OF FREE PLAY on them... THATS THE AREA what needs to be rebuilt. New larger rivets OR refill the braces and install new origional size rivets.

I'm on same deal. problem is enough to have same lisiecki solution, and when riding, is lifting by itself

I bet driver side is the worst side ;)
