Trunk floor spare tire braces

I believe these braces are for spare tire mounting.  Does this one on the driver side look correctly positioned?  I going to weld these onto my new trunk floor and want to make sure this is correct.  Thanks!

There are many trunk pictures on the site without the tire.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.
