Power steering pump leak

My power steering pump leaks out completely after sitting for a few days, it looks like its the housing seal.
Would I be better off buying a new/rebuilt pump or getting a rebuild kit and doing it myself?
Anyone have any luck rebuilding one?

I rebuilt mine, and the hardest part about doing it was getting the pulley off.  Otherwise, it was a pretty easy job.  You can get a new pump and/or seal kit at NAPA.  I was then able to repaint the pump, pulley and brackets while I was at it.  -Russ

The older I get the lazier I get, the last Saginaw pump I had that leaked at the can got a healthy dose of Lucas P/S additive. It took a while but it stopped the leak completely.

It seems that part# 20-6115 Power Steering Pump is out of stock everywhere I looked.
