Yes you can swap this in, but it will take some work. I think you need 318 engine mounts, and you may noy be able to have either power brakes or power steering.I forget wich. I think someone makes a smaller brake booster too. If you swap K members, you may be able to drop the Elephant down some to take care of those problems too. New headers to.You have to cut the fender wells a bit. I have seen it done, and it looks great. Plan on $14000 minimum for the motor if it's a crate unless you do it yourself.

Seems like just different brake booster, it does list power steering also.

ya but thats a 71 and the hemi was still available...but your right...if it fits in one 3rd gen it should fit in another with some minor changes

Thats all i was trying to get at. Yes our 73-74's are not exactly the same but they are very close. There are some body line changes and suspension and isolation changes but i believe the engine bays are relatively the same.

I know there were HEMIs that were used to run oil derricks once upon a time, that would probably be the INDUSTRIAL 426 that you speak of......

Hadn't heard about industrial 426 Hemi's before.  There used to be industrial 354 and 392 ones around here that everyone used for farm use (irrigation pumps, combine harvesters and what not).

whatever, don't worry, is a 1st gen Hemi with dist on rear. False alarm by the guy telling is a 426 HEMI . Just posted that. Still waiting for pics though
