         Hey Guys,

Kind of a stupid question but how do you remove the chrome tail light bezels off of the actual tail light lenses? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

               Mark

         Hey again,

Yes,there are tiny little pins that hold the chrome bezels onto the actual red lenses on the 69 tail lights. How do you get these off? There are no screws holding these on.

 ;)
Need a dremel tool to grind off the bent over portion of the tab. Even after grinding all of those off there is still a chance of snapping a tab or two when trying to remove the pins. Most every body uses a glue or seam sealer to reattach the ring to the lens.
Best of luck. It is slow and painfull but boy do they look sharp when your all done..

I always saw screws on them, surely then can't be a one-time deal. Is there not a speed nut or something?

I just installed these and the are flawless:

Pricey - but you'll have a hard time trying to re-chrome the pitted old ones to look half as good as these.

I just cut the snap-on one-way washers off the old bezels and only broke one tab removing them. I used epoxy to glue on the new ones, They are never coming off.

i went with a dab off silicone on each pin wont fall off  when dry

Chatt69chgr

The chrome bezels have a habit of rattling off.  Lots of folks will silicone them on so they won't loose them while driving down the highway.

Nassau1969

There not held on by screws, but remember if you are sending the bezels out to be rechomed there made of pot metal and be sure to tell them that. Pot metal is like a bunch of cheap metals mixed together and it melts at a low temperature. You will probably will have to epoxy them back on. I have 2 sets of NOS tail lights 69 & 70 so I can show you both. Also there not for sale sorry.

The 70 Lens from what I recall had a square reflector molded in it .Differing it from the 69 Lens
