I just read this thread from the start. Man, what a cool story & the car is looking great!
Has your Mom seen it during all this, or is it gonna be a surprise?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

JT01

you are doing a excellent job keep up the great work on it.

My Mom has seen it just after it was painted.

I plan on surprising her by asking her husband to drive her to Hudsons for something and have the car parked in the lot where it was stolen. :icon_smile_big:

maaaaate !

You can't tell straight up I'm from Australia can you.

Forgive my memory if you said but what trade do you do.You seem very good with your hands as the car is a credit to you.Just a shame I don't live next door as my car has been pulled apart too and now I have to get it painted and start putting it back together.

I author diagnostic service manuals for Ford vehicles.

When I was in high school, I learned how to work on cars. I took a class in auto mechanics and auto body. My first restoration was a 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1.

If you have any questions about putting your car back together, I can help PM me here or email me at jhnmchlk@yahoo.com.

That looks freakin beautiful!!!! Looks fun too. Getting that heal pad just right to the gas pedal....kinda makes you feel like you were on the assembly line in 69.

Yes its a lot of fun!!!!!!

I used the white foam gasket that goes under the carpet as a template, then I cut the heal pad with a cut off wheel.
