"NEW Earl Shieb paint job with spray painted vinyl top"

A polished turd for $60k   :smilielol:

I'm sure someone over seas will buy it.

Sure thing, nothing says "quality" more than the two little words Earl & Sheib...

superbirdtom

I worked at earl sheib for a week, back in 79  the one I worked at had a prepper with a peg leg and they used newspaper to cut masking costs the bodywork was lumpy and you got a gallon of paint for each car weather it covered or not. the can had a pic of earl right on it. I believe it was nason synthetic enamel. the manager looked like pt barnum. worked my way up to a carcoa shop .a complete color change was $129.95 for car dealers all the door jambs under hood deck lid etc. a helluva deal back in 83

carcoa had some basic colors, then if you wanted your color matched I had to mix other paints together to get the colors. painting up to 8 cars a day is where I got really good at color matching by eye thanks earl and carcoa :icon_smile_wink:

I think that mentioning that it's an Earl Sheib paint job will hurt the sale of that car....lol  Like what was said....A polished turd!!!

it sure is cool looking,   but for sixty thousand dollars you might expect it to not have an earl sheib paint job and a spray painted vinyl roof, heh      :slap:           I agree with Tyler, that is not a good selling point to have in highlights,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

The factories did some "textured" painted vinyl tops.  I think dealers also did that when they were asked to add a vinyl top onto a steel-topped car.  Install the vinyl top trim, glue on a pair of vinyl strips where the seams would be, and then hose down the top in a thick flat paint layer.

It's ironic.  This corner cutting method is actually much better (in terms of rust prevention) than a real vinyl top is.

Silver R/T

looks pretty good in pics. Vinyl top is only $126 on ebay.
