73 charger

anyone added a super charger?  trying to figure out best way for cold air induction.  Super charger may be good way.   I looked at hood scoops vs ram air induction vs cowl induction.

Depends on the supercharger
On my procharger set up I am planning on a 5 inch six pack scoop but I may have to go cowl in the future.

6-71 or 8-71 will be completely different

Hey Rob,
Shouldn't the procharger be on your driver side?? More clearance there no?Plus less pipe. :shruggy:

kamkuda

That is the way Mark had built the bracket but I agree Kevin, it is tight to the inner fender :eek2: .  We will mock it up on the drivers side and see about making new brackets to get it tighter and lower for a shorter belt
I would have about the same amount of pipe as it goes down to the inner cooler and back up the other side.
I will see if I have a pic of marks setup

NO HOOD ON MINE YET.

Foreman, its one of things you either like it or you don't. For me, if your going for a supercharger sticking out the hood IMO you should go full on pro street (big tires on the back, roll cage etc) it kinda doesn't look right with skinny ass rear tires IMO. But, if you have a procharger or something under the hood IMO, the pro street rules does not necessarily apply  :Twocents:

It's like anything Foreman, done right it can look good IMO but done wrong...forget about it! kinda like the oversized wheels thing IMO 17's- 18's are about as big as you should go and dont run those "rubber band" tires like I said all a matter of taste and opinions.  :2thumbs:

Purple, you mean Super Chargers? or the bigger wheels? (sorry to get off topic guys) I like the Super Chargers kinda like a Muscle car on Steroids  :2thumbs:

73 charger

I was thinking of a super charger hidden under the hood.  Then again my 10 to 1 compression may nix the idea.  I reviewed big als super charger home page...we'll see.  For now i'll move coolant rcovery to driver side and run cold air intake thru radiator support on passeng side.  mike

No power steering on this car.
I have adapted the bracket for the other side.  Motor plate going in soon.  I will try and get a picture.
Firefighter FYI The distance from the firewal to the rad support is 38.5 just like the charger.  You just have more room up front,  I wish I had that for the inner cooler
