Will you look at this crap?!?!? Unbelieveable! I guess I won't have a jack in my Charger. I can't justify it at this rate. It must be a Hemi jack. :rotz:

:o  Yep and that jack would be nearly impossible to reproduce, so we are have to take it
up the @$$, heck it was not evan restored  :( :(

Now we all know why these cars can very easily be worth more parted out............

I used the stock jack many times when I was a kid, but I don't think I could bring myself to use one now.
Car leans and is so unstable its not worth it, just for looks these days.

Insanity at its best. But as long as one or two people are willing to pay this obscene prices, the market will keep ratcheting up. That's more than I paid for my first two cars combined.

Not a week ago I passed on a resored, powder-coated jack for $400. It was advertised on this site for that and went for something like $430 on Ebay. I'm not kicking myself though, I can't justify spending $400 on one either.

Ghoste

When did it become so insane?  It sometimes takes all the fun out of owning these things.  I'm glad I have been able to find most of the parts I need for my car so far.

TX9 Charger

Jacks?  Have you seen the prices on 956 radiators?  And crazy fools are paying insane money!  Maybe someone will repop them now that the prices are sooo high. I'd give 4 or 5 hundred for a new one.

I still have the factory jack for my 71 Challenger.

Better put a padlock on it! Are those as unique as the 2nd gen Charger jacks?

Charger_Fan

Geez, I still have my jack assembly...maybe if I put it on the Gouge, I could make enough from it to get a NOS front fender? :icon_smile_big:

Tempting...nah.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I got lucky on E-bay a few years back, and snagged a complete jack set up for $175.00.  I had it sandblasted and powercoated and now it sits in the back for show purposes only.  God forbid, I actually have a flat and have to use the thing- I'm not so sure I trust that nearly fourty year old spring!

Damn Ebag is a double edged sword.  Sure is nice to sell for good $$$, but sucks when I find parts and the first thing I hear now is "Well one went on Ebay for blah, blah, blah..."   :-\

QuoteJacks?  Have you seen the prices on 956 radiators?

My car didn't have a jack when I bought it and quickly found out that damn Chrysler had to do the year/model specific deal.  :icon_smile_dead:  Got lucky on that because the 71 Bee I had came with the correct jack.  I'd still just use a normal jack if that hadn't happened.

Also was lucky in that my car had a 956 radiator in it when I bought it.  All I cared about was that it kept the car cool until it went for $1,500 on Ebag.  :o  The crazy $$$ people will spend just for some stupid numbers.  That paid for my brand new radiator, trans. rebuild, and the strong running 440 in my car now among other little things.   :icon_smile_big:

Holy crap! I had no idea those things were worth so much.
Are all bumper jacks the same? How can you tell what year each jack is for?
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

No, they're not the same.
The pad that attaches to the bumper is a bit different, depending on the shape of the bumper...from what I've noticed.

I think the jacks are hard to come by more than likely since there was less E-Body cars built.
